Our customers seem to fall into a few broad categories; Families, Adventurers and ' Finaddicts'.

Families: Avalon is a great family destination and we get a lot of families looking to do something unique that will involve the whole clan. Families that choose to take a fish and tour charter with us will find something for every family member. Dad gets to relax, fish and let the Captain take charge, Mom gets to add to her scrapbook with photos of the whole family enjoying a perfect island day, the older kids get to fish or hang out and take in the sites, while the younger kids seem endlessly fascinated playing with the live bait in the tank. For groups such as these, our half day trips are ideal where we try to target the high opportunity fish such as Calico Bass, Bonito and Barracuda. Unless we snag a trophy, most of these fish are released to fight another day.

Adventurers: Many folks that visit Avalon are looking for an adventure that takes them out of the city and into a new world that will give them new experiences. These adventurers are looking for a way to see more of the island, to get a close up view of the wild life and marine life that inhabit the coastal regions of the island. We include eagles, sea lions, dolphin and whales into these trips whenever possible. For Adventurer groups we try to catch, photograph and release as many different species as possible, including sharks, rays and various rock fish. Adventurers often ask for a full day charter with a chance to see as much of the island as possible. We may include a sunset or a sunrise with these groups, depending upon their preference.

Finaddicts: Although Catalina is not the fishery that it once was, we do have opportunities to capture trophy fish. Our finaddicts want to catch fish that they may not have captured before. The elusive trophy fish include the Halibut, White Sea Bass, Yellowtail, Dorado, Mako Shark and Marlin. Our finaddicts are early risers that want to book an extended day charter starting at 5 am, or a split day charter. For these trips we will often travel to remote sections of the island or even off-shore when the conditions are right. Many of these finaddicts have their own boats and charter us so that they can get a better idea of how and where to fish the island when they make the run in their boats. No problem, bring a hand held GPS and learn how to fish the island with Afishinado Charters!

Whether you are a novice or a finaddict, we guarantee that you will be a better angler after taking a trip with us and we will work hard to ensure that your time on the water is memorable.
